How to make Matar Pulao at Home


Ingredients of Matar Pulao
  • 1 cup Peas
  • 500g Rice
  • 3 tbsp Cooking oil
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • 4 Clove
  • 1 Star Anise
  • 2 Cinnamon Stick
  • 6-8 Black Pepper
  • 1 Onion (sliced)
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 2 Green Chilies
  • Salt to taste
  • Water 2 cup
  • ¼ cup Fresh Coriander
  • ¼ cup Mint leaves
  • 1 cup Coconut milk
  • Direction for Matar Puao:
  • In a cooking pot, add cooking oil and ghee and heat for a while.
  • Now add whole spices (Clove, Star Anise, Cinnamon Stick, Black Pepper) and cook for a while
  • Now add onion slice and cook until get transparent
  • After that, add ginger garlic paste and sauté it.
  • Now add, peas and green chilies and cook for 2 minutes
  • Now add water and salt mint leaves, coriander leaves and mix it well
  • Now cover it and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Now add soaked rice and when it starts bubbling and add coconut milk and stir well
  • Now cover the lid and cook for 10-12 mins on a low flame
  • Your tasty Matar pulao now ready to serve

مٹر پلاؤ بنانے کے اجزاء
مٹر 1 cup
چاول 500 گرام
کھانے کا تیل 3 کھانے کے چمچ
گھی 2 کھانے کے چمچ
لونگ 4 عدد
بادیان کے پھول 1 عدد
دار چینی 2 عدد
کالی مرچ 6-8 عدد
پیاز(سلائس) 1 عدد
ادرک لہسن پیسٹ 1 کھانے کا چمچ
سبز مرچ 2
نمک حسبِ ذائقہ
پانی 2 کپ
دھنیا ایک چوتھائی کپ
پودینہ ایک چوتھائی کپ
ناریل کا دودھ 1 کپ

مٹر پلاؤ بنانے کی ترکیب
ایک پین میں گھی اور کھانے کے تیل کو گرم کر لیں۔ اب اس میں گرم مصالحہ ڈال کر ہلکا سا پکا لیں۔
اب اس میں پیاز ڈا ل دیں اور لائٹ براؤن ہونے تک فرائی کر لیں۔
اب اس میں ادرک لہسن پیسٹ ڈال کر تھوڑی ڈیر پکا لیں۔
اب اس میں ہری مرچ او ر مٹر ڈال کر ایک سے دو منٹ کے لیے پکا لیں۔
اب اس میں نمک اور پانی ڈال کر ملا لیں۔
اب اس میں ہرا دھنیا اور پودینہ ڈال کر ملا لیں۔
اب اس کو ڈھک دیں اور درمیانی آنچ پردو سے تین منٹ کے لیے پکا لیں۔
اب اس میں بھیگے ہوئے چاول ڈال دیں اور جیسے ہی پانی اُبلنے لگے اس میں ناریل کا دودھ ڈال دیں اورتھوڑی دیر پکا لیں۔
اب اس کو دس سے بارہ منٹ کے لیے ڈھک دم دیں۔
