Badam ka Sharbat Recipe in Urdu & English

Summer in most parts of Pakistan is mostly arid and scorching hot. Temperatures can go up to almost 48 degrees and the heat can be excruciating and unbearable. Hot days like these call for a good refreshing drinks that would not only quench thirst but also refresh the soul. One of such drinks is the Almond Sharbat or more commonly known as Sharbat-e-Badaam. Badam ka Sharbat is a very popular drink of Pakistan and is relished by old and young alike. This desi drink is said to have a Punjabi origin just like many other refreshing drinks of the summer season like Jau Ka Sattu, Shikanjaveen, Imli Aloo Bukhara Sharbat,  Watermelon juice , lassi, Pina Colada, Falsa Juice and roh (sugarcane juice). This energizing and invigorating beverage is readied by grinding almonds, saffron, crumbled green cardamoms and then adding them to sugar and water. Ingredients
- Almond 200g
- Sugar 600g
- Water 3 cups
- Cardamom Seeds 6 Cardamom
Method
1- Soak the almonds for 2 hours in hot water and peel the skin.
2- In a grinder, add almonds, cardamom seeds, water (1 cup) and grind it well then strain it by using Muslin cloth piece.
3- For making sugar syrup, add water (2 cups), sugar in a cooking pot and cook until it becomes thick.
4- Next, add the grinded mixture and cook it for 8-10 minutes until it becomes thick.
5- Now let it cool and save it in the bottle.
6- Add 4-6 tbsp of Sharbat-e-Badam in a jug
Your Sharbat-e-Badam now ready to serve. Serve after chilled.
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Serve: 3-5 persons
Note: Use it within 2-3 months.

اِ لائچی کے دانے چھ عدداِ لائچی
ترکیب
۔بادام کو گرم پانی میں دو گھنٹے کے لیے بھگو ئیں اور چھلکے اُتار لیں ۔
۔گرائینڈر میں بادام ، اِ لائچی کے دانے اورپانی(ایک کپ ) ڈال کر گرائینڈ کر یں اور چھان لیں ۔
۔ اب شیرا بنانے کے لیے دوکپ پانی میں چھ سو گرام چینی ڈال کر گاڑھا ہونے تک پکا لیں ۔
۔اب گرائینڈ کیاہوا بادام کا مکسچر شیرے میں ڈال کر آٹھ سے دس منٹ گاڑھا ہونے تک پکائیں اور ٹھنڈا کر کے بوتل میں ڈال لیں ۔
۔آپکا مزیدار شربتِ بادام تیار ہے ۔
۔چار سے چھ چمچ فی جگ استعمال کر یں ۔
۔ٹھنڈا کر کے پیش کریں ۔
پکانے کا وقت : تیس منٹ افراد: تین سے پانچ

نوٹ : شربتِ بادام کو دو سے تین ما ہ تک استعمال کیا جا سکتا ہے ۔
