Everyone wants an attractive face; we contour our cheeks and get our eyebrows done. But one of the things that we forget is that the smile is one of the most prominent and important parts of our facial appearance. A good smile with pearly white teeth is essential for a good impression when you are talking to someone. Here at sooperchef, we have listed top five remedies that you can try for a better and a more glittering smile, without the fear of your enamel being damaged. These tips aren’t a substitute for your visits to the dentist but can guarantee whiter teeth and healthier gums if done regularly and properly.

1. Tea Tree Oil

5 drops of 100% tea tree oil when diluted in half a glass of water can be used for rinsing after brushing every day, and the results can be seen in just a couple of weeks. To make the effect more striking, clean your teeth with a drop of oil every once or twice a week, though not more often than that.

2. Coconut Oil

Apply some coconut oil on your teeth prior to the brushing process and leave it there for 15-20 minutes. Repeat this process twice a thrice a week for great results.

3. Activated Charcoal Mix

Grounded charcoal when mixed with water gives a sour-cream like texture, apply this mix on your teeth and leave it on for two minutes and then rinse thoroughly. Brush your teeth afterward and repeat this process twice a week.

4. Banana Peel

Banana peel is loaded with compounds that help scrub off the plaque off your teeth and maintain a perfect color for your enamel. Rub the inside of the banana peel on your enamel and then let it sit there for 5 to 7 minutes, brush and rinse thoroughly afterward. This process can be repeated as often as you like.

5. Strawberry Paste

Crush a fresh strawberry with a spoon and mix it with the finest sea salt you can find. Sea salt can also be ground with a coffee grinder for the same purpose. Take the resulting paste and apply softly on your teeth and massage for a while. Rinse your mouth afterward thoroughly. For the sake of protection of your enamel, do not repeat this process more than twice a week.
