Pakistan has a wide variety of tastes. With a diverse population that craves all kinds of grub from traditional Pakistani dishes to exotic cuisines, Pakistan has more than its fair share of variants of continental dishes from Turkish to Italian. Chinese dishes have made their way to the hearts of foodies all over Pakistan and now no menu is complete without them. Following is a list of Chinese food loved by Pakistani foodies.

Pakistani kitchens boast a wide range of Chinese soups which are relished all over the country by old and young alike. Soups which are a delicacy especially during the chilly months of winter, when people like to warm themselves up with a nice, steamy bowl of soup. Chinese soups like the Hot & Sour Soup, Mushroom soup, Fish Vegetable and Noodle Soup and Chicken Corn Soup are widely popular among Pakistani denizens.

Ah! The salty, slimy plateful of joy… Noodles have been a staple in Chinese food but it is now a popular dish that is eaten with great delight all around the world. This had to be on the list, because no Chinese menu is complete without the tangy Chicken Manchurian. The desi variant of Manchurian we see nowadays was originally prepared by a small Chinese community living in Calcutta but it took over the whole Indian subcontinent by storm. Manchurian is served with rice mostly fried with vegetables and eggs and is a total feast for the taste buds.

4. Fried Rice

Fried Rice is a Chinese dish that is prepared by stir-frying in a wok or a frying pan and can be prepared using vegetables, eggs, meat or even seafood. This delicacy is not only popular in South-east Asia but also all over American and south African restaurants. In Pakistan the egg fried rice and chicken fried are the most popular.

5. Chili Chicken

The last but not the least, chicken chili is one of the most widely eaten indo-Chinese dish. In Pakistan, chili chicken is prepared using mainly boneless chicken meat, however there are variants which involve preparation with boned chicken meat too. Green chicken chili is one of Pakistan’s favorites.
